A Tiffany store even Holly Golightly could afford

Exciting news for all you aspiring Holly Golightlys out there! Tiffany & Co. has announced that they are launching a new chain of jewelry stores that are more widely available, and with more affordable merchandise. The new shops, which will be much smaller and offer most of Tiffany's selection -- barring their trademark engagement rings -- will be called Tiffany & Co. Collections. The first such shop is set to open sometime in 2008, though I'm not sure where. You can read more about the new line here, if you'd like. No word on whether or not they will engrave Cracker Jack rings for you, or if you can have breakfast at these shops.

Maybe now I can do more than just wander around aimlessly in Tiffany's. ;)
